有一个名人曾经说过：书是人类进步的阶梯。从书中可以直接学到前人的经验，知识使我们再前进的路上少摔跟头，少走弯路。读书可以开阔我们的视野，陶冶我们的情操……读书的好处数不胜数。
可是现在，我们的学习压力很大，虽然我们也很想多读书，可是过重的学业负担和五花八门的课外补习班，辅导班压得我们喘不过气来，哪里还有时间多读书呢?因此，我特别期盼能设立一个读书节。
在读书节这一天，大家不用上学，不用做作业，可以尽情地看课外书，痛痛快快地在知识的海洋里畅游。可以和同学朋友交流自己的读书体会，表达自己的独特见解。还可以和同学把书中的情景表演出来!读书节可以每个月一次或每周两次。
我多么希望有一个读书节啊!
